Catholic Faith Formation

Religious education is an integral part of the school’s curriculum and student life at St. Augustine Preparatory School. Our goal is that St. Augustine graduates will hold an understanding of the Catholic faith through academic study and lived experience that prepares and encourages them to embrace a lifelong relationship with God, through prayer, worship, and service.

  • All students receive religion classes between two and three times a week.

  • From First Grade on, our students attend weekly grade mass.

  • Students in Third Grade are prepared for the Sacrament of First Communion.

  • Students in Tenth Grade are prepared for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

  • The Religion Department assures that the school lives out the liturgical calendar by organizing activities such as retreats, Catholic Schools Week, an Advent campaign, Todos a Servir during Lent, among others.

María Auxiliadora Chapel is open during the entire school day and students as well as faculty members are free to visit at any time.

As a faith-based institution, the school reserves the right to use religion as a hiring criterion for selected positions, as permitted by law and consistent with the mission of the institution. People of all faiths are welcome to join our school community.
